RESPONSIBILITIES

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for development, implementation, and coordination of training sessions, workshops and other educational programs for department. Develops training programs based on specific Registration, Admitting, Patient Financial Services, Patient Billing, Billing Inquiry and Cash Posting/Reconciliation functions and operations. Coordinates intra and inter-departmental training activities, class content, materials and databases, instructors, training schedules and employee competency testing.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting usual weight of 10 pounds; pushing/pulling usual weight of 50 pounds; reaching above, at and below shoulder level; repetitive arm/hand motions; frequent gripping of an object. Frequent: standing, walking. Occasional: sitting, stooping/bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, lifting weight up to 50 pounds with assistance, stance, carrying weight up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling weight of 400 with assistance; static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. Operates typewriter, computer, printer, hospital equipment and instructional equipment.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions. Minimal exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, communicable diseases, and body fluids. Working environment is sometimes stressful due to workload. Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at the one time.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education/Certification and Licensure:
1. Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business, education, or related field; five (5) years progressively responsible position in healthcare business services operations may be substituted for educational requirement.
B. Experience:
1. Two (2) years experience in computer-based applications with preference given to experience with Epic systems.
2. Prior experience in training and coordinating educational/training activities, preferably in a comparable setting.
