Day-To-Day:
Insight Global is hiring for a Full-Time HR Coordinator for a growing construction team based in the Cleveland, OH area. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a strong critical thinker, and someone who takes full ownership of their responsibilities as a key driver within our organizational structure. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth Human Resources operations, compliance with employment laws, process improvement and a positive employee experience through onboarding, training, employee engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & Benefits Administration
• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time, including time entry verification for field and office employees.
• Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, benefits contributions, and other adjustments.
• Maintain and update employee records in the payroll/Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
• Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws, union agreements (if applicable), and company policies.
• Reconcile and provide payroll reports and work closely with accounting for accuracy.
Onboarding & Offboarding
• Coordinate new hire paperwork, background checks, and I-9 compliance.
• Conduct new hire orientations and ensure all onboarding activities are completed.
• Set up employees in HRIS, payroll, and benefits systems.
• Process employee terminations, exit interviews, and final pay in compliance with legal timelines.
Employee Experience & Human Resources Support
• Serve as a first point of contact for employee Human Resources-related questions.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, and company events.
• Assist in managing employee records, performance documentation, and compliance reporting.
• Help maintain a positive workplace culture aligned with company values.
Compliance & Administration
• Maintain personnel files and ensure they are up to date and audit ready.
• Assist with workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EEO, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable employment regulations.
• Support safety and policy implementation across job sites and offices.
Research & Process Improvement
• Identify opportunities to streamline or enhance Human Resources processes, including onboarding, documentation, and compliance tracking.
• Research and recommend tools, software, or procedural changes that improve operational efficiency within the Human Resources department.
• Stay informed on best practices and emerging trends in Human Resources, employment law, and workforce management.
• Assist with the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across various Human Resources functions.
• Act as a partner with other Corporate Services team members to align Human Resources practices with organizational goals and operational needs.

Skills and Requirements
Must-Haves:
• 2+ years of Human Resources administration or coordination experience (preferably in construction, manufacturing, or a similar industry).
• Strong understanding of payroll processing, deductions, and compliance.
• Knowledge of employment law, best practices, and recordkeeping requirements.
• Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and payroll software (e.g., Paylocity or similar).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. With the ability to help administer positive impact on process improvement and overall company impact.
• High level of ownership, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a rapidly growing environment.
• Experience supporting both office and field employees, including union and non-union environments.
