• Senior Data Engineer

    Job Description

    Our client in the cruise line industry is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Enterprise Data Management side of the business. The ideal candidate will have experience working with DBT Cloud as the largest project this person will be responsible for is a migration from Oracle and other software's to DBT Cloud and Snowflake. This person will be working closely with cross-functional team to ensure data integrity, optimize data pipelines, and support data-driving decision making across the team. Specifically with this new project, this person will be rewriting code from SSIS, Oracle, and Data Services into DBT Cloud and then integrating the data from those sources ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability. From there and upon project completion, this person will be assigned to new projects where you will be reading requirements, meeting with POs to understand full task of project and continuing the project lifecycle alongside cross-functional teams to project completion.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering (preferably with experience in Data Warehouse)

    • 2 years of experience in DBT Cloud

    • Experience with SQL, Oracle Packages or SSIS Packages, GitHub, Control M (scheduling tool) • Matillion experience
