Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is an Interdisciplinary Engineer GS-12/13 position with US Army Engineer District, Little Rock Projects and Programs Management Division, located in Little Rock, AR. This position can be filled in one of the following series: 0801, 0810, 0830, 0850. Responsibilities Provide expert project management for projects/programs of high dollar value ($100 to over $200 million in total cost), of national priority, environmental sensitivity, extraordinary urgency, or having similar requirements. Serve as the district's primary point of contact with the local sponsor/customer throughout the project's life. Present on behalf of the District before state and local governments, contractors, other agencies, and Congress. Assures the efficient, effective, and timely accomplishment and coordination of Facility Operations and Maintenance, planning, design and construction phases, may include Initial Outfitting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing 2 out of the 3 following duties: 1) Evaluating construction or facility operations & maintenance project processes for possible areas of improvement with respect to quality, cost, and schedule; OR 2) Resolving highly difficult technical and administrative project problems using conflict resolution principles; OR 3) Managed a large size facility performing facility manager duties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
