The** **Office of Undergraduate Admissions** **has an outstanding opportunity for a** **Marketing Coordinator** **to join their team.
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions, under The Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, is responsible for recruiting and enrolling new students to the university. Admissions conduct outreach and markets to prospective students through on-campus events, travel to high schools, community colleges, and recruitment events, and communicating through print and electronic marketing materials. It works in conjunction with several other departments at the university such as the Schools, Orientation and Transition Programs, Financial Aid, and Registrar’s office among many others to recruit students to the university.
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Admissions for Marketing and Communications, the Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in building a sustainable social media and marketing communications foundation for the Office of Admissions. This role is designed to establish strategies, processes and resources that will enable student interns and full-time staff to successfully manage admissions marketing and communications tasks after the project concludes.
The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director of Admissions for Marketing and Communications and works with multiple admissions teams to fulfill communication and marketing needs. The role involves active participation in team meetings, planning committees and cross-department projects. Success requires strong project management, organization and reporting skills. An ideal candidate combines a creative and strategic mindset with strong initiative.
The Marketing Coordinator will focus primarily on developing a comprehensive social media strategy and general training/onboarding materials. Secondary responsibilities include support for communications campaigns, collateral and collaborative projects as needed.
The Marketing Coordinator will have a direct impact on the future scalability and continuity of Admissions marketing. By creating systems, training resources and content strategies, this role ensures smooth transition and continuity of communications that support recruitment and enrollment goals.
JOB DUTIES:
_Social Media Strategy and Content – 50%_
+ Lead the creation and development of a long-term social media strategy for Admissions (Instagram, Facebook, ZeeMee, CampusESP, YouTube, etc.).
+ Develop content, templates and guides to support interns.
+ Mentor, train and prepare student interns to fully manage platform after project period ends.
+ Build a sustainable posting calendar and content planning process.
_Documentation, Training and Onboarding – 30%_
+ Create comprehensive documentation of Admissions MarCom processes as needed.
+ Improve existing training and onboarding resources for interns and staff members.
+ Standardize workflows, style guides, templates and checklists.
+ Ensure accessibility and branding compliance.
_Communication Campaigns and Marketing Collateral – 10%_
+ Provide support for the creation, improvement and deployment of communication campaigns.
+ Assist with the maintenance of webpages, digital content and print materials.
+ Conduct quality checks for accessibility and branding.
_Collaboration and Support Services – 5%_
+ Serve as a resource for admissions staff and academic program on communication needs.
+ Participate in meetings and contribute to collaborative projects.
_Other – 5%_
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** :
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, English or related field.
+ 1 year experience managing social media on behalf of a brand.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Experience producing documentation, training or onboarding resources.
+ Strong writing, visual communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to ensure accessibility compliance and maintain quality control.
+ Proven skill in managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
+ Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in communications.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
+ 1–2 years producing email campaigns with platforms such as Slate, Salesforce, Emma, MailChimp, Constant Contact or Marketo.
+ Experience mentoring or training student staff or interns.
+ Graphic design experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Canva or similar tools.
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT** :
+ This is a temporary project appointment expected to last 12 months.
+ Work may be performed in an office setting or remotely under the university’s telework policy during regular business hours.
+ Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$57,000.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$66,456.00 annual
