    Maintenance Mechanic – Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

    **Location:** Lansing, MI

    **Pay Rate:** $37/hr

    **Shift:** Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm (Automoatic pay increase once go perm)

    Position Overview:

    PDS Tech is seeking a skilled **Maintenance Mechanic – Material Handling Equipment (MHE)** to join our client’s maintenance team in Lansing, MI. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician experienced in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts, tuggers, aerial lifts, and other industrial equipment in a warehouse or factory setting. The position requires an independent self-starter with strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures in material handling fleet equipment

    • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components including motors, drive systems, electrical systems, and brakes

    • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections

    • Respond promptly to service calls and equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime

    • Maintain accurate maintenance and service records within the Corrigo system

    • Order and track replacement parts while maintaining inventory control

    • Complete daily equipment checklists and documentation

    • Follow all site safety procedures and company policies

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum **8 years of verifiable experience** servicing forklifts, aerial lifts, tuggers, or other material handling equipment (must be paid, full-time employment)

    • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting abilities

    • Proven experience with hydraulic and brake systems

    • Experience with Preventive Maintenance Programs (Corrigo preferred)

    • Ability to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams

    • Physically capable of lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and handling tools and equipment

    • Valid Driver’s License

    • High School Diploma or GED

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience using diagnostic software and computer instrumentation for maintenance tracking

    • Knowledge of industrial batteries and charging systems

    • Familiarity with equipment such as Hyster, Hoist, Crown, Genie, JLG, Taylor Dunn, and Columbia

    • Background performing light vehicle repairs and inspections

    **Pay Details:** $37.00 per hour
