The Jr. Backend Developer is an on-site, in-office, be-around-other-humans position in our Nashville, TN , or Santa Rosa Beach, FL offices.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using C#, Python, Rust, or other modern programming languages.

    + Collaborate with senior developers and architects to design efficient, maintainable backend systems.

    + Write clean, well-documented, and testable code that adheres to team standards and best practices.

    + Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment pipelines using GitHub and AWS.

    + Contribute to CI/CD workflows, infrastructure-as-code, and basic DevOps practices.

    + Learn and apply secure coding principles and assist in maintaining SOC 2-ready engineering practices.

    + Help integrate and maintain connections with third-party APIs, libraries, and services.

    + Support troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization across backend systems.

    + Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and knowledge-sharing sessions to continuously improve as an engineer.

    What We Are Looking For

    + 1–3 years of professional backend or full-stack development experience, ideally in fintech or enterprise SaaS.

    + Proficiency in one or more backend languages: C#, Python, Rust, or Node.js.

    + Basic understanding of REST APIs, web services, and database concepts (SQL and NoSQL).

    + Familiarity with AWS, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines preferred.

    + Eagerness to learn about cloud-native development, secure coding, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR).

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

    + Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take feedback. Familiarity with Monday.com and AI-powered developer tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Bedrock, Copilot) is a plus.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, but not required.
