Summary:
The systems engineering team in Meta HW VR is focused on addressing complex XFUN problems and bringing clarity and alignment on product technical requirements. We are looking to hire an intern to work closely with the system engineering team and collaborate with XFUN stakeholders to design, drive development, and test product prototypes, capture and analyze measurement data, and present as needed.Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long.
Required Skills:
Systems Engineer Intern, Hardware VR Responsibilities:
1. Contributing to and capturing calculations and data to define KPI and requirements
2. Validating design intent and functional requirements through data driven testing and analysis
3. Creating design files for rapid prototyping and development
4. Conducting tests, troubleshooting, and use of measurement devices and tools
5. Supporting central systems under development to manage requirements and validations
Minimum Qualifications:

6. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
7. Hands-on experience with debugging and related equipment
8. Collaboration and demonstrated communication skills with experience in cross-team and cross-geography collaboration
9. Experience working with Python for scripting and GUI design for MAC and Windows
10. Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

11. Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
12. Experience leading a multidisciplinary product engineering team, with oversight into mechanical, electrical, and firmware workstreams and integration between disciplines
13. Understanding of Meta products and technologies
14. Experience with one or several of the following subsystems: Cameras, Sensors, Wireless, Audio and/or optical systems
15. Experience leading and driving design development tools such as Cadence or 3D CAD
16. Experience with programming in C/C++ for development, debugging, testing and performance analysis
17. Experience with programming in python for data collection and analysis
Public Compensation:
$6,688/month to $11,467/month + benefits
