What We Need:
Our Good Hope location is seeking an Inventory Clerk on 1st shift. This position will be responsible for the inventory accuracy and cycle-counting process. Responsible for assisting all departments with identifying inventory inaccuracies, defining root-causes and developing and implementing process changes, to ensure continuous process improvements to provide optimum facility inventory accuracy performance.
What You'll Be Doing:
+ Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory and inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely.
+ Coordinate a cycle count program in a perpetual inventory environment.
+ Coordinate the cycle count progress and results to identify necessary recounts and processes to be monitored and provide regular reports on the results.
+ Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions.
+ Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures in an effort to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels.
+ Coordinate the efforts of the cycle counts in an effort to identify and correct discrepancies on items at the location level as needed.
+ Will monitor warehouse transfers for accuracy and cost effectiveness as directed by Purchasing and Distribution Management.
+ Expedites the daily flow of all special-order SKU's to include receiving, labeling, locating and timely shipping.
+ Troubleshoots all special-order problems from time of receipt.
+ Monitors special order returns, provides reporting and ensures quick returns.
+ Ensure that the unit of measure "in" is the same as the unit of measure "out".
+ Prepare block reports
+ Perform slotting analysis and slotting duties as assigned.
+ Responsible for material handling activities such as operating forklifts, loading and unloading materials, moving inventory within the facility, and assisting with product consolidation to support efficient warehouse operations.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum one year inventory Management experience, SAP
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb 16 inches; frequent standing and walking
+ MS office software experience
+ Strong analytical and organizational skills
+ Previous SAP experience is a plus
+ Strong computer skills with experience in Excel
+ Ability to gain certification and operate Forklift equipment
