The Bridgewater Virginia electrical components production team has an opening for a Wire Shop Technician. The electrical production team’s mission is to produce high quality electrical system components while supporting multiple customers.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

As a Wire Shop Technician, you will be:

+ Inspecting products for compliance with drawings

+ Operating a laser wire marking machine

+ Building complex wire harness assemblies and junction boxes

+ Building and testing coax assemblies

+ Installing electrical equipment and harness assemblies on aircraft and in facilities

+ Working with electrical engineering and mechanical engineering teams to review drawings and provide production feedback

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

+ High school diploma or equivalent and 1 – 3 years of prior relevant experience.

+ 1 to 3 years of electrical harness and junction box fabrication.

+ Strong electrical system troubleshooting skills.

+ Ability to read and apply wiring diagrams.

+ Ability to read and apply mechanical assembly drawings.

+ Experience with proper application of wiring related tooling including contact crimpers, wire strippers and wire processing machinery.

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Aircraft electrical systems training, military or civilian.

+ 1 to 3 years of work in and around aircraft including facilities that have an active tool control and FOD control program.

+ Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment including multimeters, milliohm meters, video cable test equipment and vector network analyzers.

+ Experience operating laser wire marking equipment.

+ Experience with quality control program implementation.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $39,650.00 - $71,675.00
