    Description

    Leidos is seeking a** **Civil Engineer** **to join the** **National Airspace System Integration Support Contract** **(NISC IV) Team, providing support to the** **Federal Aviation Administration's** **(FAA) Infrastructure Engineering Center.

     

    We are looking for applicants with experience as a Project Engineer and/or Resident Engineer with Civil Engineering Design and experience with tower, shelter and similar structure projects.

     

    Travel: 25-35%

    Civil Engineer Primary Responsibilities:

    + Provide technical support to the Navigation Engineering Center, for accomplishment of project engineering packages.

    + Prepare summary trip reports within two working days of trip completion.

    + Compile and complete project documents.

    + Provide technical engineering support for all phases of assigned new construction and renovation projects (i.e. evaluate shop drawings, design proposals, and interpret the technical requirements for adherence to contract documents).

    + Participate in Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAI) and Contractor Acceptance Inspections (CAI) on all assigned projects and provide recommended resolutions on all items relating to engineering.

    + Perform engineering studies for feasibility and cost versus benefit.

    + Provide technical input to the Government Technical Interpreter in actions to plan, budget, program, and coordinate the development of engineering projects.

    + Develop project drawings in accordance with the FAA Standard/guidelines.

    Civil Engineer Required Qualifications:

    + Civil Engineering Degree (B.S.)

    + Minimum 5 years of experience as Project Engineer and/or Resident Engineer with Civil Engineering Design and experience with tower, shelter and similar structure projects

    + Knowledge of Unstaffed Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS) facilities

    + Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability

    Civil Engineer Preferred Qualifications:

    + Proficiency in AUTOCAD.

    + Knowledge of Corporate Work Plan (CWP) 4.1.12.

    + Knowledge of National Airspace System Equipment Tower (NASET).

    + Knowledge of National Airspace System Equipment Building (NASEB).

    + Knowledge of Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC), power, general building construction techniques, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT), fire detection, security, site work.

    Targeted salary will be $110,000.00 - $115,00.00, based on experience.

    Pay Range:

    Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
