Job Summary:
The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) serves as a key member within the inpatient adult mental health unit that will provide clinical oversight and coordination of services across a multidisciplinary treatment team. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care for adults experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms. The LMSW promotes collaboration, continuity of care, and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards in all aspects of treatment and discharge planning.

+ Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
+ BLS Certification

Essential Responsibilities:
Required:
+ Collaborate with clinical leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate the social work program and initiatives on the adult Mental Health Unit.
+ Ensure programs align with organizational goals, ethical guidelines, and best practices in social work
+ Collaborate with clinical leadership to monitor program effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary to meet client needs
+ Train and provide clinical supervision to the treatment coordinator team ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety
+ Address complex client issues and provide guidance to Treatment Team
+ Foster a supportive and collaborative team environment
+ Oversee the provision of direct social work services, including assessments, individual counseling, and documentation
+ Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources
+ Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to ensure comprehensive client care
+ Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations and resources
+ Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, including developmental, family, educational, and social history.
+ Identify patient strengths, needs, and barriers to recovery; incorporate findings into individualized treatment plans.
+ Provide individual, group, and family supportive counseling focused on coping skills, emotional regulation, and recovery readiness.
+ Utilize trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally sensitive approaches in all interactions.
+ Plan and facilitate structured psychoeducational groups for all patients.
+ Develop and implement discharge plans that address clinical needs, safety concerns, educational continuity, and community resource connection.
+ Coordinate with outpatient mental health providers, schools, case managers, child protective services, and other agencies.
+ Participate actively in daily treatment team meetings, sharing clinical observations and recommendations.
+ Collaborate with nursing, psychiatry, occupational therapy, and other disciplines to support trauma informed treatment.
+ Provide input on milieu interventions to support behavioral stabilization.
+ Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory requirements.
+ Facilitate regular family meetings to promote communication, clarify treatment goals, and strengthen parent/guardian involvement.
+ Provide education to patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and community resources.
+ Provided crisis intervention and safety planning to patients and families prior to discharge.

Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
