Job Description Summary/Objective
Responsible for supervising operations, activities, and volunteers of a community senior center. Ensures provision of congregate meals, provides information about transportation to the centers, and plans implementation of robust activity programming to include health promotion and support of digital education and access.
Essential Functions
Program Management: Direct the planning, implementation, and evaluation of center programing. Participate in development of new engaging projects/programs. Respond with independent judgement to overall program aspects on a day-to-day basis. Supervise food and safety regulations to ensure adherence to federal and state guidelines.
Site Management: Set up or ensure set up of site locations to include tables, activities, etc. Maintain cleanliness of sites with pre and post cleaning of tables, floors and kitchen areas. Manage organization of site supplies in designated locations. Transport supplies from location to location if needed. Develop positive relationships with site owners and address concerns or needs.
Data Management & Reporting: Complete performance monitoring for program. Provide monthly data for web-based data management system. Management of program monitoring activities performed by other staff. Review and conduct program evaluation. Utilize information to continuously improve services and results.
Volunteer Management: Train and supervise volunteers performing activities that support operations via assigned tasks. Review their quality of work, provide feedback and ensure retention through feedback and recognition.
Community Engagement: Collaborate with other departments, community boards and groups to achieve specific short or long-term goals. Network with individuals representing partners or potential partners; representing JABA at community events.
Program Promotion: Promote center program and JABA within local community. Actively recruit new members. Manage center social media content.
Fiscal Management: Monitor expenses against budgets. Submit expenses for approval. Track expenses against budget caps and provide input into budget.
Maintaining Confidentiality: Commit to the protection of confidential information related to the agency, its operation, proprietary documents, financials, and the individuals served. Comply with data integrity and security policies.
Professional Development: Complete 10 hours of professional development/training annually. Ensure reporting staff are offered and complete professional development/training that encourages their professional and personal development.

Employee works primarily in an office environment, this position also requires, the employee travel by automobile and be exposed to changing weather conditions.

+ The employee is regularly required to present activities, pass out supplies, and keep space clean and organized.
+ This position is responsible for lunch set up and assisting people with reduced mobility by serving their meals.
+ Employee expected to maintain physical files and filing system.
+ This position requires the ability to move objects up to 15 lbs.
+ The employee is regularly required to participate in online and in person meetings and communicate effectively with team members, peers, and community partners.
+ Employee uses a computer extensively for data entry and other functions of the position.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is a part time working typically working Mondays and Fridays.
Travel
Travel is primarily local travel during the business day.
Required Education and Experience
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field is preferred
Computer Skills
Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and other applications like Zoom. This position relies on technology for routine communications as well as hosting virtual events, set up of various equipment, and managing equipment assigned to the center.
