    Stew Leonard’s, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop.

    Hourly – Weekly Pay

     

    Pay: $16.50/hr. + earning $1/hour toward your school

     

    Age Requirement: Must be 16 years or older

    Position Description:

    The Garden Shop Assistant interacts directly with customers helping them select their perfect gardening plants and answer questions about the different varieties we sell. The position also entails cleaning and organizing the Garden Shop. This is the place for the individual who loves the outdoors. This department is perfect for someone who likes to work with their hands and get them dirty!

    Working Conditions:

    + Ability to deliver great service, providing our customers with a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience in a prompt and courteous manner

    + Keeping the Garden Shop clean and organized

    + Selling trees to Customers

    + Must be a team player with a positive attitude

    + Helping out in another department in the store if needed

    + Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the department

    + The position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, reaching, pushing and pulling with a maximum of 70+lbs.

    + Must be willing to work in very cold weather
