Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The Senior Financial Analyst of Scripted Production Finance will be responsible for annual show costs and will help with the Production financial and accounting processes for Telemundo Global Studios series and mini-series to ensure timely and accurate recording, reporting of actual and estimated show costs, correct payment of show vendors, staff, crew, and talent.
+ Conduct full financial analysis of production budgets and prepare presentations highlighting risks, issues, and areas of concern
+ Generate weekly / bi-weekly forecasts and production dashboards for production leaders and finance executives
+ Identify risks and opportunities in financial reports and propose solutions to mitigate potential budget overages
+ Support payroll processes, including onboarding, timecard management, and payroll processing for talent, guest stars, stunts, and background extras
+ Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures, including workflow creation, financial documentation processing, and ad-hoc reporting
+ Review and ensure timely payments in accordance with contractual obligations
+ Reconcile financial data across multiple systems including SAP, Accion, Xytech, Concur, and Vista
Basic Requirements
+ Minimum 3 years of experience within Finance/Accounting field
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in the Finance television production field
+ Must be fluent in Spanish (speak, read & write)
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or other related fields
+ Strong proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
+ Experienced in using financial/accounting software and applications
Eligibility Requirements
+ Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area
+ Must be 18 years or older
+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
