Summary

This role is a key member of the accounting leadership team, collaborating closely with other members of the Chief Accounting Officer’s Organization, including Corporate Accounting, Controllers in various lines of business, Tax, Internal Audit, and Financial Shared Services. Reporting to the Director of Accounting Transformation, this role is pivotal in driving strategic transformation efforts across the organization and role requires a proactive, self-driven individual with strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This position will support our Finance team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of North Dallas office in Dallas, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

+ Work with cross-functional teams, including both corporate and business-level participants to drive accounting transformation initiatives end-to-end.

+ Collaborate with stakeholders across departments, including accounting, IT and lines of business.

+ Identify process gaps, document ‘as-is’ design, and present the business case for the ‘future state’, ensuring buy-in among key stakeholders along the way.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies & procedures, including internal controls, while tailoring processes for optimal efficiency.

+ Provide ad-hoc support to Corporate and Line of Business leadership as needed.

Education & Experience

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with at least 8 to 10 years of progressive experience.

+ Working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP preferred.

+ Proven history of establishing, documenting, and implementing well-defined accounting and control procedures, policies and processes.

+ Strong understanding of business operations and how the interface with corporate functions.

+ Conceptual thinking - ability to analyze theoretical ideas, connect the bigger picture at hand to develop alternate approaches to solving problems and create new insights. Assist with developing business cases to analyze feasibility and impact.

+ Strong communication skills, especially around breaking down complex processes into digestible and relevant points.

+ Hands-on contributor who can dig into details when needed.

+ ‘Self-starter’, independent thinker’ with the ability to conceptualize, communicate (written and verbal) effectively and solicit alignment and buy-in at multiple levels across the organization.
