What You'll Do
The Facilities Compliance Monitor will support Plant Engineering management across the Charlotte Market, including acute care hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, ensuring that all regulatory documentation and training are current, accurate, and compliant.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Ensuring all regulatory documents for systems such as chillers, HVAC, and fire alarm systems are up to date and properly maintained.
+ Verifying that inspections are completed on time, results are documented, and any deficiencies are corrected promptly.
+ Collaborating closely with facility managers to maintain continuous compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including The Joint Commission, DNV, CMS, and OSHA standards.
+ Supporting the Environment of Care Committee by maintaining required records and reports.
+ Utilizing the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track compliance activities and documentation.
+ Reviewing and interpreting building plans and codes (NFPA, ICC, Life Safety, and related standards) as needed to ensure regulatory alignment.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, self-starting, and organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient physical environment of care.
Education and Experience:
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Management, or a related field—or equivalent experience—preferred.
+ Five years experience in a healthcare setting with management responsibilities for Plant Engineering regulatory and accreditation documentation associated with federal, state, local regulations, including The Joint Commission and DNV, required.
+ Experience supporting the Environment of Care Committee in a hospital, surgery center, long term care, or similar facility preferred.
License and Certification:
+ Valid driver’s license required.
+ Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) certification preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
+ Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and OSHA requirements.
+ Ability to read and interpret building plans, Life Safety, HVAC, electrical, and fire protection systems.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office, and CMMS software.
+ Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.
