HIMS MAINTENANCE/MIQA ENGINEER
The Maintenance/MIQA Engineer leads mechanical engineering support of plant issues that are impacting production over a short period of time. Acts as the technical expert responsible for resolving equipment based or repair technique-based issues, which impact the availability and maintainability of the facility. Serves as subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations. Leads site Mechanical Integrity Quality Assurance (MIQA) process. Performs regular field assessments of equipment.
Responsibilities:
+ Supports Maintenance Procedures: 1) Performs technical reviews of procedures; 2) Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review; 3) Creates and reviews job procedures and checklists, and 4) initiates procedure Management of Change (MOC) work process.
+ Serves as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
+ Assists maintenance and production support teams to resolve breakdown maintenance requests.
+ Delivers maintenance input into project activities and acts as maintenance representative for capital projects.
+ Develop turnaround scopes and supports or leads turnaround activities.
+ Collaborates with applicable Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop solutions to complex problems.
+ Leads Mechanical Integrity Quality Assurance (MIQA) process.
+ Manages the APM system and interprets inspections results.
+ Works with site MRO/Materials Coordinator to set up and maintain PSM-critical equipment inspections.
+ Performs regular field assessments of site utilities equipment and works with OEMs on best practices for maintaining assets.
+ Monitors Trane system and reviews alarms to take the appropriate action.
+ Site lead for the definition, change, improvement, and deletion of equipment PPMs in SAP.
+ Regularly shares and discusses information with the site Reliability Engineer.
+ Site lead for DuPont S33G implementation and practice.
Qualifications:
+ BS Mechanical Engineering discipline required
+ 4-8 years of manufacturing or related experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Skilled in creating/reviewing technical procedures (Standard Practice, Standard Operating Procedures)
+ Working knowledge of SAP
+ Risk assessment principles
+ Maintenance cost, asset utilization, and goal alignment
+ Maintenance Work Process (GMWP) fundamentals
+ Defining scope of work
+ Root cause analysis/investigation (RCA/RCI)
+ Sig Sigma
+ Awareness of Reliability Engineering Principles (ex. Statistical analysis, reliability modeling)
