    Sr. Project Manager

     

    As a Sr. Project Manager at CW-ESCO, you will organize and execute project management activities to meet company and division business objectives. Program Managers (PMs) are recognized as influential and vital business leaders within our organization.

     

    The PM serves as the “CEO of the Program” and are the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. PMs drive the business from proposal development and capture through program startup, project execution, and ultimately, through contract closeout.

     

    Project Managers are accountable for meeting contract requirements related to technical specifications, schedules, quality, and financial performance including orders, sales, operating income, and cash flow commitments made by the Business Units. Working closely with their Program Teams, which include members from each functional organization, PMs are expected to proactively assess and manage risks, identify opportunities, and effectively address issues and challenges.

     

    This role will involve closely working and interfacing with other departments including Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Spares, and Sales/Marketing to ensure execution of all program/project deliverables and requirements. The PM will provide leadership and project management efforts oriented toward excellence in project execution, aligned to customer commitments, and infused with a “can do” spirit.

     

    The PM will be supporting the Engineered Arresting Systems – ESCO business unit as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and worldwide leader of Aircraft Arresting Systems. ESCO has a customer base consisting of end-users throughout the world requiring the PM to be able to interface with diverse local cultures and business practices. Domestic and/or international travel (up to 15%) is required in support of customer visits and meetings.

     

    Experience with and ability to efficiently use tools such as MS Project, Excel and other tools is essential, and willingness and ability to learn and work within the ERP system is highly desired.

     

    ESCO offers a 4/40 work schedule (M – Thu) along with normal option of 5/40 schedule (M – Fri). This role is fully on-site at the Aston, PA facility.

     

    **Salary:** $135,000 to $145,000

    Your Challenge

    + Coordinate and manage project deliverable requirements and activities with key resources including sales/marketing, engineering, Operations (Planning/Supply Chain), production, contracts and quality

    + Manage project performance in terms of scope, schedule and cost as outlined by the project management procedures and requirements

    + Monitor and report program financial performance including sales, operating income and cash flow

    + Develops detailed project plans, including timelines, budges, and resource allocation

    + Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, etc.

    + Lead monthly Program Management Review (PMRs) to report on project status/health to Business Unit leadership team

    + Engage continues process improvement and development opportunities, supporting project documentation requirements, proposals and customer needs

    + Lead proposal and capture efforts from initial customer opportunity through entire proposal phase including contract negotiation

    + Support sales/marketing team in the development of customer proposals ensuring all technical and customer requirements are scoped and costed

    + Work closely with engineering and product line managers to ensure all customer RFQ/RFP requirements are properly accounted for with a focus on proper equipment selection and direct labor resources

    + Serve as the primary POC for all customer-related correspondence and support

    + Work with integrated product team (IPT) to accurately and timely respond to customer technical and quality inquiries throughout the duration of the program/project

    + Hold program review meetings with customers based on contractual requirements

    What You Bring

    + Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline or similar field

    + Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification desirable or in the process of obtaining.

    + Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience preferably in the aerospace/defense industry

    + Experience with DoD/Federal government contracting and/or International Defense contracting is desirable

    + Experience in MS Projects and Excel, ability to extract and analyze program data from ERP system

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    + Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

    + Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally

    + Results / action oriented, high-energy level

    + Working knowledge of process analysis, standardization, continuous improvement, LEAN, Six Sigma and operational excellence programs

    + Quantitative / analysis skills using MS Project, Excel, ERP system and other tools

    + Continuously improves in all aspects

    + Must be a US Citizen/ability to work on U.S. government programs, ability to obtain security clearance (if needed)
