This Contracts Sr. Manager position is for an Experienced professional within the Aftermarket segment of the Power & Controls (P&C) business, located in Windsor Locks, CT with the opportunity to work remotely.
As a Senior Manager, you will take the lead in creating, drafting, negotiating, and finalizing Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) and Commercial Spares contracts. In this strategic role, you’ll manage complex partnership agreements across the IATA III region and oversee multi-business arrangements that drive long-term growth. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align contract structures with business objectives, provide expert guidance on high-risk terms to minimize company exposure, and ensure compliance with corporate strategy.
As a key member of the P&C Contracts Aftermarket team, you’ll also act as a trusted advisor on contractual matters and play an active role in identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance departmental efficiency and performance.
What You Will Do
+ Drafts, generates, interprets, and manages small and large, complex agreements and contractual documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents align to business objectives.
+ Works closely with senior management on multi-business agreements.
+ Support strategy development and customer negotiations to ensure terms and conditions comply with company policies and if not, communicate differences and risk mitigations.
+ Collaborates with and advises Proposal Management Group, Program Management, and various stakeholders on proposal preparation.
+ Supports, with minimal guidance, the Assoc. Director, Contracts, in soliciting and coordinating input from other organizations during the sales campaign process.
+ Prepares flow-down summaries to all stakeholders after contract execution.
+ Advises and represents the organization on contractual matters.
+ Reviews proposal and contractual pricing information.
+ Contract fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.. Engage in the review and implementation of process improvements to enhance functional performance.
+ Adhere to Import / Export compliance requirements.
+ Manage customer interface and correspondence.
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Experience in Contracts or other relevant function including but not limited to Procurement or Program Management
+ Contracts and negotiation experience
+ JD or MBA preferred, but not required
+ Microsoft Office Suite
+ Former experience working in the aerospace industry, but not required
+ Communication and responsiveness are keys for success

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
