    **Primary Location:** United States (US) - Missouri - Springfield

    As a **Solder Technician** John Deere Reman Electronics in Springfield, MO, you will:

    Perform circuit board repair operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.

    Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

    + Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.

    + Follow IPC Solder Standards.

    + Remove and replace faulty components on printed circuit boards.

    + Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as, cleaning, epoxy bonding, and conformal coating on parts and assemblies.

    + Submit accurate build card data for production/quality records.

    + Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to hand or power tools, solder irons, heat guns, test stands, gages, riveters, arbor presses, ovens/freezers, manual pallet jacks, fixtures, templates, and clamps.

    + Assist and support other team members and work with minimal supervision.

    + Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

     

    Operations occur on 1st and 2nd shifts. This posting will be used to fill openings on either shift, subject to facility needs at the time.

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    + Must be at least 18 years of age.

    + Must have at least one of the following:

    + High School Diploma or G.E.D.

    + National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

    + At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience

    + At least 2 years of prior soldering work experience; including:

    + Ability to identify printed circuit board components by name.

    + Ability to read and understand technical drawings and datasheets.

    + Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, and use of hands and fingers.

    + Ability and willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift and potential overtime (including weekends).

     

    _*An Electronics skill assessment will be part of the Pre-Employment process for candidates that successfully progress to job offer stage*_
