    Enterprise Service Bus Sustainment Lead

    KBR is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager (Enterprise Service Bus Sustainment Lead) to support the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). A key enabler of integrated logistics IT capabilities across the Department of Defense. This role is responsible for leading sustainment strategy, knowledge management, help desk development, and customer support operations to ensure the ESB remains a resilient, user-focused, and mission-aligned capability. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in enterprise IT systems, program leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

     

    Roles & Responsibilities

     

    + Support the ESB Program Lead in planning, executing, and delivering complex LOG IT strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with ESB sustainment goals.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and develop and maintain detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, resources, and risk management.

    + Monitor progress and performance, identify potential issues, and provide actionable recommendations; communicate project status, risks, and issues to the ESB Program Lead and stakeholders through timely reports.

    + Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership while promoting project management best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

    + Develop and maintain a centralized knowledge base for ESB Help Desk operations, program documentation, SOPs, and training materials.

    + Implement knowledge-sharing strategies using Confluence, Jira, and CAMEO System Modeler, and lead creation of system architecture documentation and DoDAF artifacts to support planning and sustainment.

    + Design and implement a multi-tiered Help Desk model aligned with ITIL best practices and NAVAIR ServiceNow procedures; define SLAs, escalation paths, and performance metrics for responsive, effective support.

    + Recruit, train, and manage Help Desk personnel; establish onboarding and knowledge transfer processes; integrate ticketing, triage, and reporting tools for streamlined issue resolution and trend analysis.

    + Establish proactive customer engagement frameworks to capture user feedback and develop communication and change management strategies to support system updates and enhancements.

    + Monitor support metrics and user satisfaction to drive continuous improvement, coordinating with development and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, compliant, and user-friendly solutions.

    Basic Qualifications

    + Active DoD Secret Clearance (required).

    + U.S. Citizenship (required).

    + Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience supporting or leading enterprise logistics IT systems in a DoD environment.

    + Demonstrated experience in: Program and personnel management of large-scale IT teams and budgets. System engineering and architecture, including MBSE and legacy-to-modern system transitions. Agile methodologies, SDLC processes, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and CAMEO. Customer support operations, including help desk development and stakeholder engagement. Cybersecurity compliance and IT portfolio management (e.g., DITPR DON, DADMS).

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience briefing senior DoD leadership.
