    Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a District Sales Manager to join the EWS Sales Team in/around Chicago, IL

    The District Sales Manager is responsible for leading marketing initiatives and selling leadership activities for the Electrical Wiring Systems (EWS) product lines in the Chicago and WI markets to our channel partners. Primary focus will be solution selling P&S, Wiremold, Cablofil, Connectrac, and Power Busway. This position will focus on closely leading our direct sales people to increase mindshare and drive collaborative growth.

     

    The District Sales Manager will be responsible for reaching territory and organization goals for sales growth and profitability through market development, managing the sales lifecycle, as well as developing relationships with external and internal customers to maximize communication from the field throughout the Legrand organization.

     

    This position is accountable to organize, direct, and coordinate sales personnel within electrical distribution (ED) and electrical contractors (EC) to ensure sales goals are met and/or exceeded for all product families.

    Main Job Duties:

    1. Develop salespeople within the district to maximize sales effort at distribution, contractors, and end users.

    2. Develop relationships with external and internal customers.

    3. Review sales and margin figures for territories. Maintain training level of salespeople for products and best business practices.

    4. Develop Territory Business Plans and Key Account Business planning sessions to develop territory sales plan and objectives for assigned territories and present to Regional Vice President for approval.

    5. Implement established sales plans and strategies to promote growth in the territories.

    6. Actively communicate competitive feedback and market dynamics internally to help further improve solutions and strategies

    7. Collaborate with market development group (MDG), demand creation team, as well as strategic account sales teams (SAMs) to develop growth strategies and coordinate relationships between targeted end users, and channel partners.

    8. Performs other similar and related duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Education: Four year college degree, MBA preferred, in Business or Marketing.

    OR

    Experience: 6 years working experience within the electrical distribution industry to include specific experience supervising sales people.

     

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Ability to communicate with people at all levels of a business unit. Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, and coach sales representatives to success. Leadership and supervisory skills. Ability to utilize CRM and Power BI systems to manage pipeline of projects, opportunities, and quotations.
