JOB SUMMARY

The Controller is a key member of the Finance & Accounting leadership team. Contributes to all areas of the function with a sharp focus on Accounting/Closing, Consolidation and Audit.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

+ Manage accounting operations.

+ Assist with global consolidations.

+ Support audits.

+ Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for site(s).

+ Analyze variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions.

+ Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions.

+ Ensures proper accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirements.

+ Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

+ Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CPA) is a plus.

+ At least 10 years’ experience in a similar position.

+ Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection.

+ Strong knowledge of US GAAP. Solid understanding of IFRS accounting principles.

+ Cost accounting experience

+ Experience supporting plant manufacturing operations in a global environment.

+ Demonstrated expertise in MS Office and SAP and/or Syteline financial software.

+ Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines.

+ May be asked to travel domestically to site-specific events.

+ Excellent communication skills, internally and with clients.
