As a Weapon System Responsible Systems Engineer \(RSE\), you will be support the full lifecycle of the CPS Hypersonics Weapon System including design, integration, ground test, flight test, and fielding phases\.
Your role, in concert with of a large interdisciplinary team, is to ensure the Weapon System meets Top Level Requirements, has robust Verification, Validation, Integration, and Test plans\.
You will be a critical technical leader stewarding the system through Flight Test\.
As the **Principal Systems Engineer Weapon System RSE** your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Establish system architecture and CONOPs, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture/CONOPs into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning and execution
• Ensure the logical and detailed conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solution
• Coordinate and maintain accountability for development and verification of System requirements
• Work across program organizational interfaces, industry partners, and customer teams to define integrated system behaviors and internal / external interfaces
• Lead and maintain accountability for System design definition and successful implementation of the baselined design
• Oversee lower level CPEs/RSEs for Missile, Launcher, Weapon Control, Flight Software, and Support elements to ensure sufficient technical rigor and compliance with System level requirements
• Participate in developing and executing key engineering milestone reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR
• Drive System level troubleshooting activities leading to root cause determination and corrective active implementation
• Support review, acceptance, and delivery of system elements
• Lead and provide technical oversight to all System performance, integration, and test activities culminating in final certification of the Navy Weapon System
• Clearly present information to customer, LM leadership and executive management to effectively communicate technical risk positions and recommendations

Basic Qualifications:
• Experienced technical leader in Systems Engineering or another engineering field
• Experience integrating or troubleshooting Electrical or Hardware\-Software systems
• Experience with Requirements Verification and Validation
• Experience with complex systems Integration and Test
• Active or Current Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Missile and/or weapon system development experience
• Previous experience as a Responsible Systems Engineer
• Experience across design, integration, test, verification, and validation development phases
• Experience with Weapon Systems Flight Test
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 12\+ years of related professional experience
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off
**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York \(excluding most major metropolitan areas\), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 \- $266,570\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location\. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only\. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as \(but not limited to\) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer\.

\(Washington state applicants only\) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off \(PTO\) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays\. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays\. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year\.
This position is incentive plan eligible\.
