Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and knowledgeable tour bus driver to join our team. The Tour Bus Driver is responsible for providing a safe and comfortable tour experience around Charleston while providing a compelling narrative centering on the culture and history of the city. Tour Driver?s must have a Class B CDL with a passenger endorsement and a clean driving record. Certified Interpretive Guide training is available for the right candidate. Previous customer service experience and interpretive training is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

+ Operates a company vehicle which may include a bus or shuttle van

+ Responsible for the safe transportation of guests and employees

+ Responsible for the daily inspection of while following all vehicle safety procedures

+ Exhibit excellent customer service and maintain a clean, neat appearance to represent the company

+ Maintains cleanliness, fuels, and performs daily inspections on vehicles

+ Clean all vehicles and equipment after use

+ Fuel vehicles as necessary

+ Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive demeanor towards guests, clients, and co-workers

+ Adheres to policies and procedures regarding emergency and accident procedures and radio protocol

+ Report necessary maintenance or repairs on equipment and vehicles to Managers in a timely manner

+ Perform all job duties in a safe manner by adhering to all driving regulations, company safety policies and procedures, and DOT regulations

+ Report moving violations that are received on or off duty to manager immediately

+ Perform opening and closing side work as needed

+ Work in other areas or departments as needed

+ Guides patrons on tours.

+ Greeting guests in a courteous and professional manner.

+ Understands and speaks to history, knowledge, and facts about the location.

+ Respond to customer questions and requests.

Qualifications

+ Must possess a valid Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement

+ One year experience as a CDL driver preferred

+ Minimum of 23 years of age

+ No suspension of driving privileges for moving violations in the past 3 years

+ Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

+ Demonstrate organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

+ Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision

+ Previous customer service experience preferred

+ Basic computer skills required.

+ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
