    Director System Quality - Safety & Education Perioperative Services Summary:

    + Leads and oversees the quality programs, regulatory compliance, education and outreach for Perioperative Services across the health system.

    + Drives excellence through collaboration, innovation and strategic planning.

    + Develops and implements the perioperative quality plan for service line and acute care site level.

    + Works with the VP Perioperative Services on the development and implementation of perioperative strategic plan, vision and goals which includes shared governance, care delivery models, pathway to excellence designation, clinical education, informatics patient education, and policies and procedures.

    + Ensure Perioperative Services has JCAHO readiness.

    + Participates in regulatory visits and stays abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and advancements in care.

    + Leads and guides on-site educators, leadership development, clinical orientation, continuing education, internship and apprentice programs as well as community outreach and partnerships.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    **Required Licensure & Certification:** RN (Registered Nurse) and CPR

    Required Education:

    + Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, Education or related field.

    + If not a Master’s degree in Nursing, requires a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) and have the certification of: Certified Nurse Operating Room.

    Required Experience:

    + 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare with a focus in perioperative quality, education and process improvement in the acute care setting.
