Cleveland Clinic's **G91 Pulmonary Stepdown Unit** is a 32-bed, fast-paced, and high-acuity unit specializing in the care of patients with acute pulmonary conditions - including pulmonary embolisms, tracheostomies, and ventilator support.
We're seeking an **Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM)** who is passionate about mentorship, teamwork, and clinical excellence. A caregiver in this role works nights, 7:00pm - 7:30am. Every other Saturday or Sunday and every other holiday.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Provide clinical supervision and coordinate unit clinical operations under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
+ Supervise and participate in delivering patient care, ensure continuity of patient care information between shifts, and coordinate patient admitting, discharges and transfers.
+ Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions, monitor attendance issues and review major operational patient care issues with the Nurse Manager.
+ Interview, select and orient new caregivers.
+ Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
+ Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies and research initiatives.
+ Monitor the adherence to EEO/AAP goals and guidelines.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
+ Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
+ Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or the American Red Cross
+ *If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment
+ Two years of recent clinical nursing experience

Physical Requirements:
+ Requires extensive sitting and dexterity to perform work on a PC.
+ Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
+ Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
Personal Protective Equipment:
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $37.50
Maximum hourly: $57.60
