THE ROLE
As an entry civil engineer within our Land Development group, you will thrive with the exposure and gain experience through a variety of civil engineering-related opportunities. Under the guidance of a Professional Engineer, the entry engineer will learn the planning, design and construction of site-development projects for clients across a spectrum of work to include residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use developments. During the construction phase, the engineer will provide oversight and support the implementation of the plans.. These responsibilities include:
+ Work with the client and project team to interpret the overall site development plan and translate it into detailed engineering drawings.
+ Support project tasks including technical report writing and coordination with multidisciplinary team, architects, and clients.
+ Participate in assessing the suitability of the site for development.
+ Assist with the design and planning for infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, drainage systems, and grading.
+ Learn and understand regulatory requirements and assist with necessary permitting to meet project requirements.
+ Participate in the development engineering design process from conception to completion.
+ Learn how to formulate cost estimates and prepare and manage budgets.
+ Provide construction administration service support during the construction phase of the project.

YOUR STRENGTHS
+ Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering technology, or equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program
+ 0–3+ years of experience with civil engineering design and construction projects
+ Engineer-In-Training (EIT) professional designation preferred or willing to obtain soon after hire
+ Exposure to engineering design software such as AutoCAD or Civil3D
+ Technical mindset for troubleshooting and resolving complex problems
+ Strong communication, both verbal and written
+ Possess a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record is required for periodic travel
