    Security Specialist - Part time (29 hours or less)

     

    Compensation: $19 p/hr

    Position Summary

    The Security Specialist will monitor the sites for safety on an overnight basis to ensure all sites are safe for clients through the

     

    evening.

    Responsibilities

    The Security Specialist will perform duties including, but not limited to:

    • Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies.

    • Conduct regular rounds, safety checks, and monitor camera systems to ensure site security.

    • Ensuring that camera systems are running effectively and batteries are fully charged.

    • Identify opportunities to prevent workplace injuries, accidents, and health risks.

    • Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess compliance with internal and external safety regulations.

    • Inspect and monitor safety equipment; make recommendations for repairs or replacements as needed.

    • Assist in drafting, implementing, and revision of internal safety policies and procedures.

    • Assist in the development of employee training on safety protocols and procedures.

    • Review incidents and accidents reported by employees or clients and recommend corrective action.

    • Participate in reviewing and improving safety training programs.

    • De-escalate situations involving clients or staff as needed to maintain a secure environment.

    • Assist in the completion of other supportive tasks during shift to ensure transitional homes are running optimally.

    • Ensuring that supply inventory list is up to date to ensure sites have the supplies needed.

    • Performs other duties as requested.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to meet the RSA Medicaid credential.

    • At least one year of related experience is preferred.

    • Demonstrated experience in de-escalation techniques.

    • Experience working with adult mental health population preferred.

    • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well

     

    as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

    Other Skills

    + 2 years experience working directly with individuals and families is preferred.

    + Works well independently and as a team member.

    + Multi-task efficiently and be flexible in all situations.

    + Openness to traveling as needed.

    Driving and Vehicle Requirements

    + Valid driver’s license

    + Reliable personal transportation

    + Good driving record

    + Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,00/$300,000 bodily injury liability as required by agency.
