    About Your Summer Internship Program:

    The Dollar Tree Summer Internship Program offers an enriching 10-week paid internship opportunity that takes place at our corporate headquarters in Chesapeake, Virginia. Interns will be immersed in a dynamic work environment where they will receive personalized mentorship and engage in professional development activities designed to enhance their skills.

     

    Throughout the internship, participants will gain valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of our operations. Comprehensive onboarding will ensure interns are well-prepared from day one. Additionally, team-building activities will foster collaboration and networking among peers and leaders in the organization.

     

    At the culmination of the summer program, interns will have the exciting opportunity to present their projects and insights, with the possibility of earning scholarships as recognition for their hard work and creativity.     About Your Role:

    The Loss Prevention Intern will assist the Loss Prevention team in enhancing the safety and security of company assets. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in asset protection strategies and loss prevention within a large retail environment. At the end of the program, each intern will be responsible for a presentation centered on what they learned and a real-world challenge/opportunity they helped to solve.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    + Junior or Senior, currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.

    + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

    + A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to learn.

    + Interest in loss prevention, security, or asset management.
