Summary:

The intern will gain hands-on experience at a modern iron foundry that began operations in November 2018. This role offers opportunities to engage in real-world problem-solving and contribute to operational excellence. Responsibilities involve designing fixtures for automated grinding systems to improve manufacturing efficiency, programming CNC machines using both Fanuc and Beckhoff controllers, and implementing Lean manufacturing practices such as 5S, value stream mapping, and process improvements focused on analyzing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and reducing downtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Designing fixtures for automated grinding equipment

+ Programming CNC machines, both Fanuc and Beckoff controllers

+ Focus on implementing lean manufacturing practices

E ducation and/or E xperience:

Sophomore, Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelors degree in a related field from a four-year college or university.
