    SUMMARY

    Working Leader night shift, ensuring EJ safe work procedures are being followed by all employees.

     

    EJ Supervisors have a key role, ensuring that all work is performed safely and supports the facility production operations.

     

    As a supervisor, employee will be trained and knowledgeable to operate Resin Transfer and Reaction Injection Molding equipment for access cover production. Operation includes loading of fiberglass material into a heated tool (around 200 degrees) and injecting liquid resin. Fiberglass parts shall be finished by trimming flash and sanding edges, pack, and labeling of covers and frames.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    + Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement with regard to a safe work environment. Ensures employees understand the safety expectations of the organization.

    + Actively support EJs safety process by participating on the Safety Committee and engaging employees, while utilizing the safety incident system to track and document all safety follow-up activity.

    + Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company.

    + Support facility production operations, employee supervision, leading and coaching employees.

    + Proficient use of computer systems related to production, including M3 reporting

    + Support Inventory counts and ensure accurate reporting of materials and operation time

    + Responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and organize materials efficiently and safely.

    + Pre-shift equipment checks and press inspections.

    + Process knowledge, able to operate RTM, RIM and various molding machines, mold, trim, inspect and finish parts with daily support of the production team to meet customer requirements.

    + Ensure composite parts are manufactured per process work instructions sheet.

    + Perform quality checks per control plan.

    + Inspect and detect defective parts.

    + Material handling and custodial maintenance activities.

    + Re-fill glass, resin, and efficient material movement throughout the facility.

    + Trains, supervises, motivates, and evaluates personnel, including ADP performance evaluations.

    + Working individually or as part of a team.

    + Follow schedule presented (May work at a different area every day)

    + Maintain cleanliness of general work area, clean and free of trip hazards.

    + Ensures productivity of production team members to maintain production schedule and to meet customer demand, on-time

    + Promotes continuous improvement and lean activities

    + Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

     

    Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience with fiberglass preferred. Proficiently use measurement tools. Prior compression/injection molding experience preferred. CNC experience a plus, but not required.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift 40 lbs. moving skids of covers and stacking onto a skid. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

    The job requires team member to work in an indoor factory environment around heated molds in presses and handling of fiberglass on a regular basis.
