Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Ground and Mission Systems Engineering (GMSE) is looking for a **Senior Ground Systems Engineer (Level 5)** to join our team in **Seal Beach, California.**

The SI&WS GMSE division creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with both commercial and proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our team focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements, design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.

The Senior Ground Systems Engineer will join a high-performing team that is immersed in high intensity development projects. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work proprietary programs for U.S. government customers who are responsible for exciting advanced technology national security missions.

Position Responsibilities:

+ Serve as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for program accounts

+ Support creation and delivery of program Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items

+ Lead Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) and program proposal efforts

+ Interface with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external customers

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

+ This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with an adjudicated polygraph, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. citizenship

+ 20+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

+ 10+ years of experience in Control Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management (EVM)

+ Current BDS Earned Value Management (EVM) Silver Medallion Certification

+ Experience with Systems Engineering processes and principles such as system architecture, interface definition, and requirements definition, decomposition, verification, and validation

+ Experience leading or managing an engineering project or team

+ Experience with JIRA and Confluence

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

+ Experience in risk management and trade studies

+ Experience creating and delivering Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items

+ Experience leading Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) and program proposal efforts

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $147,900.00 - $200,100.00
