    Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS)** has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Program Management Specialist (Level 5)** to join our **Space Launch Systems (SLS)** team in **New Orleans, LA.

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Serve as primary team lead in the risk management process, ensuring execution to the process, early identification of risks and opportunities with appropriate mitigation plans.

    + Acts as cost account management for multiple teams with a strong understanding of integrated scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.

    + Lead team in change management activities across internal and external customer changes.

    + Work directly with subject matter experts across the business to quickly iterate and converge on achievable solutions that meet our customers’ needs.

    + Develop solutions to previously unsolved problems as our development timelines are aggressive.

    + Leads others and directs phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).

    + Ensures assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.

    + Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.

    + Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation.

    + Work both as an individual contributor and as a team lead to drive collaboration across multiple projects and products.

     

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

     

    The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

     

    This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

     

    This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + Bachelors Degree or higher

    + 5+ years of experience performing in a leadership role

    + 3+ years of experience developing and/or maintaining integrated schedules

    + 3+ years of experience working with the planning & scheduling processes, cost analysis, and EVMS

    + 3+ years of experience analyzing data, creating reports, and presenting results

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + Current CAPM (Certified Associate of Project Management) or PMP Certification

    + Experience working on space, launch vehicle, and/or aircraft programs

     

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

     

    **Travel:** Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

    Summary pay range: $132,600 - $179,400
