    EMT/AEMT Course Coordinator

     

    Status: Part-time

     

    Hours: Various days and hours

     

    Pay/Salary: $24.09/Hour

    Summary

    As a Course Coordinator, you play a vital role in shaping the next generation of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs). You will be responsible for overseeing and instructing EMT/AEMT courses, ensuring students receive high-quality education that meets both the Utah Bureau of EMS and National Registry of EMT standards. Your contributions will directly impact the preparedness and effectiveness of future first responders, making a tangible difference in the community.

    What You'll Do:

    Responsibilities of the EMT/AEMT Course Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

    + Design and deliver engaging, high-quality instruction that aligns with state and national EMS standards.

    + Assist in managing program operations to ensure compliance with educational and regulatory requirements.

    + Mentor and guide students throughout their academic journey, providing support with recruitment, advisement, and job placement.

    + Implement and uphold best practices in EMS education through protocol development, procedure research, and accurate record keeping.

    + Adapt teaching methods to support students with diverse learning needs, backgrounds, and abilities.

    + Stay up to date on evolving EMS standards, industry advancements, and regulatory changes to enhance curriculum relevance.

    + Participate in ongoing training and development to ensure instructional excellence and program integrity.

    What We're Looking For:

    + Education Requirements: A high school diploma or its equivalent.

    + Licenses: Active EMT/AEMT license and certification with the State of Utah

    + Certifications: EMS Instructor Certification through the Utah Office of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness (OEMSP), EMS Course Coordinator Certification through the Utah OEMSP, National AEMT Certification through the National Registry of EMTs, and a current American Heart Association BLS and First Aid Certification.

    + Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in time management, multitasking, and organization to efficiently handle multiple responsibilities.

    + Attention to Detail: Sharp problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in daily tasks.
