As a **Security Guard - Access Control** in **Gastonia, NC** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will play a crucial role in access control at a leading automotive location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also engage with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This position requires driving as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

+ Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and controlling entry to authorized personnel and visitors.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, ensuring appropriate actions are taken according to protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the automotive facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.

+ Document and report any unusual occurrences, security-related violations and/or hazards to the appropriate personnel.

+ Collaborate with client staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and support overall operations at the location.

+ Maintain a visible presence at access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and provide assistance as needed to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Familiarity with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
