• Companion Caregiver Opportunity – Afternoon Support for a Kind Senior Recovering at Home (Farmington Hills )

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

• Location: Farmington Hills

• Pay: $14–$16/hour (based on experience and training)

We’re seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to support a kind senior during recovery. This part-time afternoon position focuses on emotional support, encouragement, and ensuring safety while promoting independence and confidence.

• Key Responsibilities

+ Provide emotional and physical support during recovery.

+ Encourage healthy routines — including eating, hydration, and self-care.

+ Offer calm presence and reassurance without pressure or intrusion.

+ Maintain safety and supervision during key activities such as showering or mobility transitions.

+ Help restore a sense of normalcy, confidence, and independence.

+ Keep family informed of meaningful changes or observations that support ongoing care and well-being.

• Caregiver Responsibilities

+ Companionship and emotional support

+ Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal prep

+ Dementia or Alzheimer’s care assistance

+ Personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene

+ Safe transfers using gait belts and Hoyer lifts (training provided)

+ Transporting clients to outings, errands, and appointments

+ Promoting safety, dignity, and comfort at all times

• Job Requirements

+ Strong communication skills (verbal & written)

+ Physically able to lift 25 lbs., bend, kneel, and walk throughout the shift

+ At least 18 years of age

+ Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and registration

+ Access to a mobile phone for scheduling and communication

+ Reliable, punctual, and professional

+ Must pass a background check

+ Current TB test (can be completed after interview)
