    As a **Security Officer - Retail Patrol** in **Christiansburg, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a welcoming presence for guests and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the premises, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.     What You'll Do:

    + Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols.

    + Respond to incidents and critical situations at the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.

    + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.

    + Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or potential threats to the appropriate personnel.

    + Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to maintain a secure environment for staff, customers, and property.

    + Assist with access control procedures and verify identification as required by site policies.

    + Support emergency response activities and provide assistance during incidents, following established protocols and guidelines set by Allied Universal.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Possession of a valid guard card or license is preferred.

    + Customer service experience is preferred.

    + Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

    + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

    + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

    + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
