As a **Security Guard - Shipping Center Patrol** in **Salt Lake City, UT** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will conduct routine patrols and provide outstanding customer service, assisting visitors and staff with professionalism and strong communication skills. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related issues encountered during patrols.

+ Assist with access control to help to limit unauthorized entry to restricted areas within the location.

+ Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and/or emergency responders as required.

+ Document all activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ A valid security guard card or license is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
