As a **Security Officer - Access Control Retail** in **Front Royal, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic retail distribution environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the location. Your visible presence and friendly demeanor will foster a secure atmosphere for team members and visitors alike. Utilizing technology such as computers or tablets, you will support access control procedures and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail distribution location, including access control duties.

+ Monitor and control entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.

+ Communicate with Allied Universal management, local law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.

+ Assist visitors, employees, and delivery personnel with access and/or directions as needed while maintaining site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ A valid guard card or license is preferred.

+ Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
