Our client, an industry leader in industrial equipment maintenance and repair, is seeking a dedicated Welding Equipment Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Welding Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Service Department supporting the shop operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Welding Equipment Maintenance Technician
**Location:** Fresno, CA
**Pay Range:** $20- $25hr
Shift: 1st (AM)
What's the Job?
+ Maintain, repair, assemble, and test welding and cutting equipment including MIG, TIG, and Stick welders, plasma cutters, and gas control systems.
+ Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
+ Perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications to ensure safety and performance standards.
+ Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, assisting with setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
+ Maintain accurate service records, manage parts inventory, and support shop safety and cleanliness standards.
What's Needed?
+ High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in Electrical or Welding Technology preferred.
+ Minimum of 2+ years experience in electrical repair or industrial equipment maintenance, especially related to welding equipment.
+ Familiarity with brands such as Miller, Lincoln Electric, ESAB is a plus.
+ Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical theory and troubleshooting skills.
+ Excellent communication skills and proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and schematics.
