    Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing and industrial services, is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator Assistant to join their team. As a Machine Operator Assistant, you will be an integral part of the production department supporting operational efficiency and safety. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Machine Operator Assistant

    **Location:** TRAVERSE CITY, MI

    **Pay Rate:** $19 for 1st shift - $21 for 2nd shift

    Shift:

    1st shift - 6 am - 2 pm

     

    2nd shift - 3 pm to 11 pm

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Load and unload materials onto or into machines by pushing, pulling, lifting, or stacking, either manually or with equipment.

    + Operate machinery by adjusting levers, pedals, plates, dials, and blankets as required.

    + Replace and clean worn parts such as guides, cutting tools, and brushes to ensure optimal machine performance.

    + Inspect materials and report any defective or questionable conditions to the lead operator.

    + Follow ISO procedures and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial or machine operation roles.

    + High School diploma or GED equivalent.

    + Basic mechanical skills and comfort with mechanical applications.

    + Ability to read and follow written instructions, including simple fractions.

    + Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when required.
