Position Overview:
We are seeking a **Design Engineer II** to join a dynamic engineering team supporting high-impact manufacturing and product development initiatives. This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of products and systems used in industrial and consumer applications.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and refine mechanical designs using CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality to ensure design feasibility and performance.
+ Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and FMEA to ensure robust product development.
+ Support prototype development and testing, interpreting results to guide design improvements.
+ Maintain documentation and design records in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects.
+ Provide technical support for production processes and troubleshoot design-related issues.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
+ 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development.
+ Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and design documentation.
+ Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
+ Experience with design validation, testing, and root cause analysis.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
+ Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
+ Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
