**Job Title:** Rubber Molding & Machine Operator – 2nd Shift
**Location:** Broomfield, CO
**Pay:** $24.75/hour
**Schedule:** Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM to 2:00 AM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Rubber Molding & Flashing Machine Operator to join our high-performance manufacturing team. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in machine press operation, plastic injection molding, soldering, and assembling small components. If you have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to perform basic troubleshooting, you’ll thrive in this fast-paced, hands-on environment.
We Are Looking for an Individual With:
With experience in machine press operation, you bring the mechanical know-how to run molding equipment efficiently. Your plastic injection molding background ensures familiarity with material behavior and cycle optimization. Your soldering and small-part assembly skills demonstrate precision and dexterity—critical for trimming, finishing, and inspecting rubber components. Plus, your ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues makes you an asset in maintaining smooth production flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Molding & Production Operations
+ Operate compression, injection, and transfer molding machines per work order.
+ Load raw rubber or pre-formed stock into molds and monitor machine cycles.
+ Perform de-molding and trimming of excess flash from molded parts.
+ Assemble components and support cross-training initiatives.
Flashing & Finishing:
+ Remove excess rubber (flash) using hand tools, deflashing machines, or cryogenic equipment.
+ Grind and trim parts to meet visual and dimensional specifications.
+ Maintain and adjust deflashing equipment as needed.
Quality Control & Inspection
+ Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify product conformity.
+ Identify and report defects such as burns, voids, or short shots.
+ Accurately complete inspection reports and production documentation.
Documentation & Tracking:
+ Record production data including part counts, downtime, and quality metrics.
+ Label and package finished products per customer and work order requirements.
Safety & Housekeeping
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
+ Report unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications:
Experience & Skills
+ Prior manufacturing experience preferred, especially in rubber molding or machine operation.
+ Machine press operation and plastic injection molding experience.
+ Soldering and small-part assembly skills.
+ Basic troubleshooting ability for equipment and process issues.
+ Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Physical Requirements
+ Ability to stand or sit for up to 11 hours.
+ Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
+ Good close-range vision for detailed inspections.
Work Environment
+ Loud, high-heat, non-temperature-controlled environment.
+ Frequent proximity to moving machinery and production equipment
