Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and procurement sector, is seeking a Junior Buyer to join their team. As a Junior Buyer, you will be part of the Procurement Department supporting project teams and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Junior Buyer
**Location:** Windsor Mill, MD
**Pay Range:** $60000 - $70000
**Shift:** 1st
What's the Job?
+ Source and purchase materials and services critical to commercial and government projects
+ Coordinate RFQs/RFIs and process purchase requisitions efficiently
+ Conduct price and cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing and savings
+ Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure optimal deals
+ Manage supplier relationships, resolve issues related to delivery, quality, and pricing
What's Needed?
+ 3-5 years of experience in procurement or subcontracting roles
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications
+ Proficiency in ERP software such as M1 or similar systems
+ Strong understanding of material requirements and purchase order processes
+ Excellent negotiation and communication skills
