Overdose Response Team/PDO Project Coordinator (Part-Time)
The City of Bangor has a unique opportunity for the right candidate interested in making a difference! The Department of Public Health and Community Services in the City of Bangor is seeking a candidate for the position of Overdose Response Team/PDO Project Coordinator. The general function and responsibility of this part-time professional position is to coordinate, manage, and oversee the Overdose Response Team and Prescription Drug Overdose (PDO) grants and efforts, working in close collaboration with DHHS office of Behavioral Health, City of Bangor and community partners.
The project coordinator will be responsible for 1) increasing community collaboration with harm reduction and recovery support partners; 2) coordinating an overdose response team to visit individuals post overdose to offer support and resources; 3) coordinating an overdose prevention coalition 4) working to increase the capacity of local communities to respond to overdose and reduce opioid-related drug overdose deaths by implementing evidence-based strategies. Please note this is a part-time grant funded position with an anticipated schedule of 20 hours weekly. The pay for this position is $29.14 to $39.12 per hour. Part-time employees with the City earn time off with pay and are eligible to enroll in dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
