We are seeking a Director, Product Management to lead the successful delivery of large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within our telecommunications organization. This executive role requires a strategic and influential leader who possesses both exceptional product management acumen and extensive networking capabilities across internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate proposed products, articulate data-supported logic for feature development, and guide decisions that align with market demand and corporate strategy. The Director will oversee complex program execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives, adherence to schedule, and delivery to the highest quality standards. This leader will drive cross-departmental collaboration, manage risk, and foster operational excellence to advance the company’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
+ Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
+ Responsible for all aspects of product development, launch, obsolescence, positioning, pricing, and promotion.
+ Create and execute business plans which maximize growth and diversification potential, including competitive threats and opportunities.
+ Evaluate and recommend distribution channel development programs.
+ Oversee development and production of collateral materials.
+ Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
+ Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
+ Oversee development and maintenance of customer database.
+ Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners.
+ Conduct surveys on current and new product concepts and provide feedback for future product development.
+ Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
+ Communicate and interface with customers consistently.
Essential Skills
+ Proven expertise in product management and strategic leadership.
+ Strong market analysis and product lifecycle management skills.
+ Technical leadership with experience in optical networking.
+ Experience with fiber optic communications and optical networking software, telecommunications systems, and telecommunication products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
+ Minimum eight years of management experience with five years in product management responsibility.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to evaluate products, technology, and competition.
+ Experience creating or directing a comprehensive corporate strategic plan.
+ Ability to lead Product Life Cycle management for company products.
+ Ability to contribute to market development activities such as trade shows and promotional functions.
+ Availability for travel.
+ Preferred experience in fiber optic communications and optical experience.
+ Ability to develop and deliver excellent presentations and presentation materials.
+ Ability to drive P & L goals and create a cohesive product offering well-positioned in a growing, profitable market.
+ Strong understanding of sales strategy and tactics.
+ Strong knowledge of collateral production requirements and methods.
Work Environment

This is a Permanent position based out of Chatsworth, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $220000.00/yr.
