    The Quality Engineer will be responsible for: - Weekly staff and prioritization meetings - Facilitate the development of APQP documentation including, but not limited to process FMEAs, control plans and process flow diagrams - Support and tracking of recommended action from the process FMEAs - Independent scheduling and leading APQP readiness meetings with manufacturing engineering teams - Review and /or develop process capability studies, measurement systems analysis - Create final production part approval documentation (PPAP) - Formal documentation and presentation at stakeholder updates A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards. Job Responsibilities: • Review and approve sampling procedures and designs, forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. • Review and supervise programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. • May conduct training sessions on quality control activities. • Considered a specialist in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application. • Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability. • Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products. • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical. • May manage quality control program.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    Education & Experience Required: - Bachelor's degree in engineering required - 8-10 years experience required Technical Skills (Required) - Ability to facilitate and create all APQP elements including Process Flow, Control Plan and Process Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) - Excell - PowerPoint - Teams (Desired) - Prior automotive industry experience Soft Skills (Required) - Facilitate and host cross functional meetings in person and virtual - Manage priorities across multiple projects

    This is a Contract position based out of Lafayette, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $46.00/hr.
