    Project Architect (Multifamily Projects | NYC)

    We’re hiring a Project Architect to lead design development, documentation, and coordination for multifamily residential projects across the five boroughs. This is a full-time, in-office role ideal for architects with strong technical skills, NYC code knowledge, and a passion for urban housing design.

    About the Role

    You’ll oversee all phases of design and construction documentation, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with consultants across disciplines. You’ll contribute to concept development, zoning/code research, and client presentations while ensuring quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead design development, construction documentation, and permitting

    + Mentor and supervise junior staff

    + Coordinate with consultants (MEP, structural, lighting, acoustic, expediting)

    + Produce detailed drawings, 3D models, and renderings using Revit

    + Conduct site analysis and zoning/building code research

    + Support project management tasks including schedules and documentation

    + Collaborate on design concepts and presentations

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture

    + 4+ years of experience in an architectural office

    + Experience managing mid-to-large scale multifamily projects in NYC

    + Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, Zoning Resolution, ADA, and energy codes

    + Familiarity with DOB NOW filings and NYC permitting procedures

    + Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office

    + Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

    + Detail-oriented and proactive with a commitment to high-quality work

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.07/hr.
